Wexford Festival Opera are delighted to gather the businesses of Wexford to join together for the 2023 Window Display Competition. Local businesses are invited to create displays that celebrate Wexford’s successful bid for the 2024 Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann.
As always, businesses taking part in the competition are encouraged to make sustainable and environmentally friendly design choices when designing their displays.
Entries are open until October 23rd 2023, while judging will take place from October 24th to 31st. The winners of all five categories will be announced at a special reception held at Wexford Opera House.
As part of Wexford Festival Opera’s commitment to a healthy circular economy, special note is taken of businesses who promote and demonstrate the following elements:
1.Reusing or repurposing materials found in your shop/business
2.Using recycled materials in your design
3.The use of energy efficient lighting i.e. solar lighting
4.Overall incorporation of a sustainable message within your design
5.Introducing elements of nature and the environment into your display i.e. raw materials from nature
