Our Lady’s Island Organ Recital
Lady’s Island is once again having its Fringe event of the Wexford Opera Festival after a lapse of eight years. The 2015 event features European renowned Richard Dunster-Sigtermans who is an accompanist, conductor, educator and examiner. He has worked in the world of church music since the age of 15, including posts at the Queens Chapel of the Savoy and Bath Abbey. One of the many pieces he will play is Handel – Water Music Suite which will be very appropriate for the magnificent setting of our Pugin Church overlooking the Druidic/Christian Island and magnificent lake with its flora and fauna.

Musici Ireland return to the Wexford Fringe Festival for their 4th consecutive year with a concert of Classical Guitar Music. Following another outstanding year of performances including sell out concerts in Wexford, Dublin and Meath, and their debut live broadcast on lyric FM, Musici Ireland return home to play with David Creevy, formerly of the Dublin Guitar Quartet.
Musici Ireland have gained a reputation for world class performances, with stellar line-ups. This concert is a wonderful opportunity to see some of Irelands top string players. The Busquitos from The Netherlands play a very catchy mix of brilliantly played music, sung with an impressive Louis Armstrong like hoarse voice, and dazzling, funny entertainment that will put a smile on everyone’s face! Celebrity Recital; Tara Erraught
Dundalk-born mezzo-soprano Tara Erraught garners critical praise and enthusiastic audience acclaim wherever her increasingly busy international opera career takes her. Tara came to worldwide attention in February 2011. In 2010 she received the National Concert Hall, Dublin’s Rising Star Award. She is the youngest recipient, and only the fifth musician, to have received this annual award since its instigation in 2000. Tara performed with the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra in Dublin in March, 2015. During the spring and summer of 2015 she will sing with the Hamburg Staatsoper, the Bayerische Staatsoper, Washington National Opera and in the Dominican Republic.

Piano Recital
The Tenth Dublin International Piano Competition took place between 15th and 26th May 2015. Sixty-nine selected applicants from eighteen countries, including six from Ireland, competed in front of a panel of distinguished judges for monetary prizes and professional engagements.
The winner of the 2015 competition was Nathalia Milstein (18) from France. Nathalia will begin a career with a number of important debut engagements that come with the first prize: Carnegie Hall in New York, Wigmore Hall in London, the National Concert Hall in Dublin and the National Opera House, Wexford as part of Wexford Festival Opera.
