Guided Tour of Johnstown Castle and Gardens

Enjoy a guided tour of the restored 19th-centure Castle and unique servant’s tunnel- the longest domestic servant’s tunnel in Ireland. Take a look at the fascinating Irish Agricultural Museum which displays one of the most comprehensive exhibits of farming and rural life in Ireland.

Explore over 4km of the picturesque lake and ornamental garden walks- including a woodland children’s play area and the full accessible new 1.5km lower lake walk- great for all members of the family including our dog friends. Cafe and retail area situated in the visitor centre.

Creative Arts and Crafts

ABI Ireland is hosting a Creative Arts and Crafts Fair.

The Wexford Whale

The Wexford Whale’ is a 12-minute animation directed by David Begley featuring drawings by David and 5th and 6th class pupils of Scoil Mhuire National School, Rosslare. 

The film is based on the story of the 25 metre blue whale captured by Lifeboat pilot Ned Wickham outside the Wexford Harbour in March 1891. A talk by David will follow the screening of the film. Booking essential.

The Teddy, The Witch and The Pumpkin

Sammy Ragdoll manages to persuade her best friend Eddy The Teddy to go out “trick or treating” for Halloween. He doesn’t always have good ideas though. With a timid Eddy, who has a tendency to wander off, and a mischievous Monkey as a friend, there’s always a chance an unexpected adventure may occur…! 

This show is best suited for children 6 and under.

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow

The story is set in 1790, in Sleepy Hollow, a small town near New York. The place is home to many tales of the supernatural especially that of The Headless Horseman. Ichabod Crane, a school teacher from Connecticut moves into town. He is superstitious and believes all the local legends. He soon becomes a rival to Brom Bones for the affections of Katrina. She rejects Ichabod. Perhaps the Headless Horseman wants Ichabod to leave town too, or is it Brom in disguise?

This show is best suited for children aged between 5-10.
