This is the story of two brothers, Jack and Peteen who live side by side but haven’t spoken in 40 years with home help, Bridie acting as a go-between. Peteen’s has been a failed marriage with a wife emigrating to America just before their son was born, never to return. When she dies in America, her son returns to Ireland and is torn between his love for his uncle and his respect for his father.
