OYSTER LANE THEATRE GROUP ARE PROUD TO PRESENT THEIR 2019 25th ANNIVERSARY PRODUCTION, ‘Grease’ WHICH WILL BE HELD IN THE DUN MHUIRE THEATRE FROM 21st-26th OCTOBER. THE WEXFORD-BASED SOCIETY HAVE BEEN PRODUCING AWARD-WINNING MUSICALS FOR THE TOWN SINCE 1994 INCLUDING ‘GREASE’, ‘ALL 4 ONE’, ‘ANNIE’, ‘HAIRSPRAY’ AND MOST RECENTLY ‘MICHAEL COLLINS – A MUSICAL DRAMA’ WHICH WON BEST OVERALL SHOW IN THE COUNTRY AT THE AIMS AWARDS. ‘GREASE’ IS A MUSICAL SET IN 1959 AT FICTIONAL RYDELL HIGH SCHOOL AND FOLLOWS TEN WORKING-CLASS TEENAGERS AS THEY NAVIGATE THE COMPLEXITIES OF PEER PRESSURE, POLITICS, PERSONAL CORE VALUES, AND LOVE. THE SHOW CONTAINS SHOWSTOPPERS SUCH AS GREASED LIGHTNIN’, SUMMER NIGHTS AND GREASE. WITH AN INCREDIBLY TALENTED CAST OF 50 PEOPLE, IT IS SURE TO BE ONE OF OYSTER LANE’S BEST PRODUCTIONS AND CERTAINLY IS NOT ONE TO BE MISSED!

Join us in welcoming back the Greenland White-fronted Geese and in celebrating our 50th anniversary. Events running throughout the week 26th Oct – 1st Nov include an Open Day at the Reserve on the Sunday with talks, activities and stalls; evening goose watches from the Observation Tower to watch the geese go out to roost; and quizzes and activities in the Visitor Centre. This is the story of two brothers, Jack and Peteen who live side by side but haven’t spoken in 40 years with home help, Bridie acting as a go-between. Peteen’s has been a failed marriage with a wife emigrating to America just before their son was born, never to return. When she dies in America, her son returns to Ireland and is torn between his love for his uncle and his respect for his father.
